- A hotel chosen for its distance from the nearest MRT station, checked on a map rather than taken from the listing, with a lift confirmed and individually controlled air conditioning in the room.
- Passport valid well beyond your travel dates, and Taiwan's entry requirements checked for your nationality, since many Western passports enter visa-free for a set period but the rules differ by country.
- Flights booked into Taoyuan Airport, code TPE, with the Airport MRT noted as your route into the city, or into Songshan, code TSA, if a regional connection makes that possible.
Quoted from the edition on sale today. Fares, opening hours, and entry rules move, which is why the book names the authority to confirm each one with and the month it was checked. If one of these has gone out of date, tell us at hello@compasserie.com and the edition gets corrected and reissued.
